Goat Cheese Honey Nut Toast

In the everyday hustle, quick, easy and healthy breakfast options are hard to come by. We might have accidentally made a few through daily experimentation and it’s great to share with you all.



Ingredients needed

  • Lightly toasted slices of whole-grain bread (you can alternatively used rye bread, sourdough or seeded breads as per your preference)

  • Fresh goat cheese at room temperature (you can use regular cream cheese, mascarpone cheese or crumbly feta cheese as per availability)

  • Walnuts and/or Pecans, coarsely chopped

  • Salt and pepper according to taste

  • Honey for drizzling

  • Fresh thyme leaves or other micro greens for garnish

  • Oil for toasting


Follow the steps to whip up some fancy breakfast options

  • Preheat the oven to 180° celsius and arrange the lightly toasted bread slices on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.

  • Brush some oil onto the toast and spread the cheese onto them evenly.

  • Sprinkle the nuts generously and bake the toasts until the walnuts are toasted and cheese is warmed up and melty! Takes about 5-6 minutes in a preheated oven.

  • Transfer the toasts to plates and sprinkle sea salt and crushed pepper corns.

  • Drizzle each toast with B.barefoot honey, and garnish with thyme leaves or micro greens right before serving.

Drizzled with honey and sprinkled with fresh thyme, cracked pepper, and sea salt, these warm, cheesy, crunchy toasts make a delicious breakfast, after-work treat, or lunch, paired with a handful of salad greens.
